Physical work is very demanding. Sometimes it can make us stop in the middle and ask, “What was I thinking taking this on?” You may feel like it’s impossible to figure out a solution. You may feel so exhausted you can’t go on. It may seem like it’s not worth it at the point where it starts to wear you down. Well, the good news is it is possible, you can go on, and it’s very worth it!
Starting a project takes steps to complete. There has to be a start, middle and finish line. What you may have to do to prepare for the project may be just as tasking as the project itself. That’s where you have to make your mind behave. Train yourself to make each task seem small and every step one step closer to the goal. If you are a part of a team or just doing a job yourself you will have to plan your strategy.
Maybe you do need someone’s expertise on a subject, or equipment that the work demands to simplify the task. What do they say? Work smarter, not harder? That’s exactly right! If you need to carry heavy rocks from one side of the landscape, for example, to another you have to think through what the easiest route is, the more mobile and the fastest way to get that task of the job complete.
Just like life, there are hills and valleys, and mind over matter. So, with hard work you will have those same dealings. How you climb and how you roll, how you think and how you do will be well worth all of it in the end. You can be proud of your accomplishment when you struggle, because you know you were the one to complete it!
